OUR STORY

Meet Our Founder
My lifelong inspiration has been art in all forms—visual and performance—growing up in Senegal, where I felt the artistic relationship was undervalued, fueling my passion to enrich it. After a global career as a tribal lead dancer for Cirque du Soleil and running my theater venue in the USA for 12 years.
I created Wassado Cultural Lodging in Cap Skirring as a living art space, collaborating with many talented Senegalese and African artisans from Burkina Faso, Mali’s Dogon tribe, and drawing from Senegal’s powerful dances and the vibrant youth of Boucotte Djiembering who deserve a platform. Guests are invited to stay, savor meals from our garden, join vibrant dance classes, and leave as their most peaceful selves, immersed in the transformative power of art.
My name is Wassa Coulibaly.
